Collaborating on a book with your son is no doubt a familial bonding experience few get to share. Collaborating on a book considered to be the authoritative history of the United States Navy is something else altogether. That’s the story of James C. Bradford, longtime professor of history at Texas A&M, and his son, retired Naval Officer John F. Bradford. The elder Bradford, now a resident at Crestview, has been fascinated by Naval history for as long as he can recall.
“I taught history at the Naval Academy for several years before coming to A&M,” he shared. “This book, now in its second edition, is the collaborative work of my son and I, along with contributions from many others.” The Bradfords' book is now available on Amazon.
